Review
Google Meet is a convenient, light-weight and solid video conference software with amazing compatibility and collaboration functions that works quite well for single users to small- mid teams / education usages. It still has one of the highest overall usability scores among well-known video conferencing apps.
The biggest benefit of Google Meet is its very simple and intuitive user interface. In contrast to other complicated conferencing software with multiple redundant functions, the operating interface of Google Meet is clean and concise.
Another key highlight of this is how OpenAI integrates seamlessly with Google Workspace. It provides native integration with Google Calendar, Google Drive, and Google Docs as well. For instance, users can schedule meetings directly from Google Calendar and the system will create meeting links automatically with reminder notifications to all participants.
When it comes to day-to-day usage, Google Meet does well on stability and security. It uses end-to-end encryption technology to protect the privacy and data security of meeting content, which can meet confidentiality needs in daily office meetings or academic discussions.
But their experience for external guest access needs work. Support users do not have a Google login to participate in the meeting, but need verification and permission is blocked externally guests for too long, so that smooth operation compared with logged-in Google users.
Generally, Google Meet is a simple yet pretty affordable and dependable light-weight conferencing device. The ideal applicability for daily remote office, online teaching and small/medium-sized team meeting but still in need of perfecting advanced interaction functions and external user experience.
